45 years of quality
The estate was established by Aldo Zaglia in 1970 and underwent radical changes in the early Eighties under Aldo's son, Giorgio. With a degree in agricultural science, Giorgio initiated major developments in both the vineyards and the cellar in his effort to achieve the ideal balance of tradition and new technology. Respect for the environment and continuous quality research have guided Giorgio Zaglia's dedicated work ever since.
Guardians of the tradition
Our guidelines: to welcome our guests – who over time become our friends – and make them feel at home on our estate, improve our wines year after year and offer new ones to delight our clients' palates. We feel gratified when we hear their favourable comments and see their sincere smiles. We must keep in line with changing tastes without ever losing sight of our tradition and authenticity.

Our vineyards.
The secret of our quality.
Our estate covers some 30 hectares (74 acres) in the municipalities of Precenicco and Pocenia in the south-west of the province of Udine, between the Stella and Tagliamento rivers. The soil is clayey, rich in mineral salts; this and the favourable breezes from the nearby Adriatic Sea create the ideal vine-growing macroclimate.
Ageing in steel vats or wood produces a range of well-balanced classic Friuli whites and reds, and give our sparkling wine an extraordinary clarity. Wines of elegance and authenticity.
